FF and PDs to finalise deal for Government

A new programme for Government is expected to be completed by Fianna Fail and the Progressive

A new programme for Government is expected to be completed by Fianna Fail and the Progressive Democrats by the end of today.

Bertie Ahern and Mary Harney will meet this morning to discuss the draft deal completed yesterday.

The differences between the two parties over Stadium Ireland proposals are understood to have been levelled out in the draft, meaning that any last minute hiccups are unlikely.

The proposals will then be put to their respective parliamentary parties by this evening.
