Two Israelis were injured today, one seriously, when a home-made Palestinian missile made a direct hit on a home in a Jewish settlement in the Gaza Strip.

Rescue workers said the missile fell in the settlement of Neve Dekelim in the southern part of the territory. The injured were evacuated to a hospital in the southern Israeli city of Beersheba for treatment.

In four years of Israeli-Palestinian fighting, hundreds of Palestinian missiles and mortars have been fired at Neve Dekelim and surrounding settlements. There has been considerable damage to property but no fatalities in the attacks.
