Jeremy Noseda has reported Boylesports Irish 2000 Guineas hero Araafa to be in “good order” after his exertions at the Curragh last Saturday.
He also confirmed that Royal Ascot is the planned next port of call for the conqueror of English 2000 Guineas winner George Washington.
“He has come out of his race in good order,” said the Newmarket-based handler.
“He is having a quiet week this week, then we will build towards a tilt at the St James’s Palace Stakes on June 20.”
“From the moment he started working this spring we knew that he was a much improved horse from when he was two.
“But even before he ever set foot on racetrack, judging by his home work, we felt he would improve 12lb from two to three.
“His bold show in the English 2000 Guineas was no surprise to us and he appeared to have moved forward again last Saturday.
“It was the best performance of his career and I believe there is no reason why he won’t build on that,” Noseda told www.jeremynoseda.com.
