Heavy rain has wiped out Taunton's meeting scheduled for tomorrow.
Officials at the track were due to inspect the course at 7.30am tomorrow to check if it was fit for racing.
However, waterlogging in the car parks rather than on the circuit itself has caused the problem.
The course cannot meet the instructions laid down by the British Jockey Club, British Horseracing Board and Britain's Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food as vehicles at the course cannot be properly disinfected.
Clerk of the course Michael Trickey said: "Due to the heavy rain the car parks have become so waterlogged that we cannot meet the guidelines and instructions set down by the Jockey Club, BHB and MAFF.
"We cannot guarantee that all vehicles will leave the racecourse in a clean and disinfected condition.
"Racing is therefore abandoned."
