A Chinese man has been jailed for five years for selling his daughter so that he could buy a motorbike.

A Chinese man has been jailed for five years for selling his daughter so that he could buy a motorbike.

The man got 3,000 yuan (£245) for the girl and spent it on a bike.

He Haigang kidnapped the one-year-old from his ex-wife's house and sold the child later the same day, according to local newspaper reports.

He has been ordered to pay a 3,000 yuan fine.
