A Dublin man has denied at the Central Criminal Court that he raped a teenage pregnant woman just hours after she became his tenant and told the jury they had "passionate" consensual sex.
The 32-year-old man was giving evidence on day-three of his trial in which he denies raping her on October 18, 2000 in a west Dublin location.
He said they had consensual sex twice that night after she asked him to play a taped love song several times over.
The jury has heard his claim that she wanted him to have sex with her in the only bed in the house.
He said he became tired during their second spell and she agreed to go on top and and that he woke up later with her "bouncing all over" him.
He said that he and the alleged victim earlier walked hand-in-hand to a nearby all-night petrol station shop to buy cigarettes after their first lovemaking session and she said they should continue where they left-off on their return to the house.
The hearing continues before Mr Justice Paul Carney.
