Much like in the fashion industry, where the arrival of glossy magazines’ September issues heralds the start of a new season, autumn is the most important time of the year for fragrance launches.

Now is when perfume purveyors bring out the big guns, the blockbuster scents they hope will become bestsellers, and this year there are some strong contenders, particularly if you’re looking for a rich, warm scent to cocoon you during the colder months.
