A teenager has been questioned by gardaí following a fatal stabbing incident in which a 20-year-old man died at an apartment complex in Dublin.
Glen Osborne, 20, from Taafe Place in Ballybough, lost his life following the incident at the Ballybough House flat complex in Dublin 3.
Shortly before 10pm on Wednesday night, gardaí were called to the scene of a serious assault, where Mr Osbourne was discovered with stab wounds.
He was removed to the Mater University Hospital where he later passed away from his injuries.
One youth has since been arrested by investigating gardaí. At the time of going to print, he was being detained under Section 4 of Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at Mountjoy Garda Station.
Local councillor, Neil Ring, said locals are saddened that a young life has been taken: "The whole family are devastated because of this. What’’s worrying me is if some retaliation might be taken.
"We just don’’t want any more feuds brewing up in the north inner city, or anywhere else in the country."
The office of the State Pathologist has been notified and a post mortem is expected to take place in due course.
The scene of the incident was sealed off for a technical examination and an incident room has been established at Mountjoy Garda Station.
