Up to a 100 workers at Dan Morrissey’s in Carlow are meeting at the plant’s headquarters in Bennekerry this morning amidst concerns for the future of the business.

Up to a 100 workers at Dan Morrissey’s in Carlow are meeting at the plant’s headquarters in Bennekerry this morning amidst concerns for the future of the business.

It is understood the company has gone to court this morning in the hopes of having an examiner appointed.

The Bennekerry and Clonmelsh sites were both under lock and key this morning with security present.

160 people are employed by the company in Carlow.
