Gardaí are investigating the discovery of the body of a woman in Dublin.

Emergency services were called to a house on Woodlawn Park Grove in Firhouse at around 1.30pm yesterday.

A woman in her late 50s was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Coroner and office of the State Pathologist have been notified and her body has been removed to the mortuary at Tallaght Hospital where a post mortem will take place later today.

The scene has been preserved pending the results of a post mortem examination and enquiries are ongoing
