The body of a woman has been found in a hotel room in Dublin.

The body of a woman has been found in a hotel room in Dublin.

The remains of the 30-year-old were discovered at the Plaza Hotel in Tallaght at around 3.30pm today.

It is understood a hotel worker - one of the housekeeping staff - discovered the body.

The body of the woman remains at the scene, which is sealed off this evening, pending the arrival of the Garda Technical Bureau. Gardaí are treating this as a "highly suspicious" death.

The office of the State Pathologist has been notified.
