Woman killed in Wexford car accident
A woman has been killed in an overnight accident on the N25 Wexford to Rosslare road.
The fatal collision occurred at Kellystown, Drinagh, Co Wexford at approximately 1.30am when a car collided with a female pedestrian.
She was fatally injured and pronounced dead at the scene.
The identity or age of the deceased has not been positively identified at this stage. Her body has been removed to the mortuary at Wexford General Hospital.
The driver, a 21-year-old male and the sole occupant of the car, was uninjured in the collision.
The road is currently closed to facilitate Garda forensic collision examination. Local diversions are in place.
