Website to host online auction to raise funds for Barnardos

Ultimateauctions.ie has partnered with Eirtight Technology to develop software that enables users to have the closest possible experience to a real live auction.

Bidders will go through the same process as a live auction and be able to see all bids almost instantaneously.

The lots are shown in detail with a highly visible green background showing for the highest bidder, if someone submits a higher bid they immediately see their screen change colour and have the option to bid again.

Fair bidding is ensured through a feature that extends the action time for a lot by one minute if someone adds a bid in the last 30 seconds of the specific lot auction time.

This has been designed to prevent last-second attempts to grab lots.
