A spokesperson for the Pro-Life Campaign has claimed today that the organisation has received death threats.
Caroline Simons was responding to claims by backbench TDs that they have been threatened by anti-abortion advocates.
"You'd want to be very careful with those allegations," she said.
"Because I can say with some certainty that absolutely nobody from the Pro-Life Campaign has issued threats to anybody."

"And as a matter of interest, I'm sad to see that Enda, our Taoiseach, playing the victim in relation to that this week," said Simons.
"I can tell you now, and we haven't said it before, we had to have the Gardaí three time to the Pro-Life Campaign offices last week where there were death threats.
"So I think that this kind of thing is best dealt with by dealing with the Gardaí instead of making a song and dance about it in the media."
