Water restrictions to stay in Clare area for another four days

Clare County Council says water restrictions will remain in place in the Kildysart area until at least next Tuesday.

It says, although the water quality has improved significantly in recent days, a "satisfactory sequence of test results" will be required before existing restrictions can be lifted.

Increased manganese levels have caused the discolouration of the water, affecting more than 1,500 people in the region.
