Warm weather on the way for weekend

Summer will return briefly this weekend with temperatures set to reach around the 20 degree mark.

Its also looks like the fine weather will stick around into early next week.

Met Eireann's Pat Clarke says it'll take a few days to feel the difference though.

"There's some mixed weather between now and the weekend, but as we go through the weekend and into the early days of next week the temperatures will rise," the meteorologist said.

"Today we have low to mid teens, over the weekend we will have the high teens, and possibly a little higher early next week. So there's certainly an improvement but it will take a few days yet."
