Varadkar to Aer Lingus: Nobody should be suing anyone

The Transport Minister Leo Varadkar has called on Aer Lingus to drop its plans to sue SIPTU.

The airline is suing the union over its threat to strike last Friday under a number of headings, including breach of contract and conspiracy.

Minister Varadkar says the expert group set up to resolve the pensions row at the heart of the dispute must be allowed time to proceed.

He says Aer Lingus's plans to sue are unhelpful.
