Vaccine-trials doctor 'willing to travel here to help inquiry'

A doctor who was involved in drug trials at mother and baby homes in Ireland has said he is willing to travel here to help a new inquiry.

Dr Alex Kanarek, who is now 84 and living in Canada, said he prepared the polio vaccine combinations that were used on 58 children at a number of facilities in 1960.

He was previously in contact with the Laffoy Child Abuse Commission before it stopped work.
