Two released by gardaí following questioning in connection with Wayne Whelan murder

Gardaí have released a man and a woman they were questioning in relation to the fatal shooting of Wayne Whelan in Dublin.

The 42-year-old was found in a burning car in Lucan last November.

A man in his 30s was arrested on Monday and a woman in her 30s was arrested yesterday.

They have both been released without charge.

Files are being prepared for the DPP.
