Two people in hospital after Dublin house fire

Two people have been taken to hospital in Dublin after a fire at a house on the North Circular Road.

One of those injured is a firefighter, however the fire service says his injuries are not serious.

The condition of the second person is not known.

Both have been taken to the Mater Hospital for treatment. One fire engine remains at the scene.

North Circular Road remains closed in both directions between the junctions of O'Deaveny Gardens and Infirmary Road as a result of the fire, which was discovered shortly before 9am.

Gardaí say diversions are in place and motorists are advised to use alternative routes.
