Two men have been hospitalised following a shooting incident tonight in Ballyfermot, Dublin.

Two men have been hospitalised following a shooting incident tonight in Ballyfermot, Dublin.

The shooting took place around 10.20pm at Clifden Drive, Ballyfermot.

Two men aged 53 and 'early 20s' received gunshot injuries.

Both have been taken to St. James hospital where their injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

The area has been sealed off for a technical examination.

Gardai in Ballyfermot are appealing for witnesses to contact them on 01 6667200, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
