Two people have been killed in a crash in Tipperary this morning.

The incident happened at Limerick Junction at 7.20am.

Emergency services are still at the scene of the crash on the N24 main Tipperary to Limerick road.

The two-car crash happened on the straight stretch of road in Limerick Junction at the racecourse.

Gardaí have confirmed that two people have been killed, It is believed they are the drivers of both cars.

Nobody else was injured.

The road is sealed off and will remain closed for several hours to allow for a technical examination to take place.

Diversions are in place.
