Two Irish players win €500,000 in EuroMillions last night
EuroMillions players in Meath and Kildare are today being urged to check their tickets after last night’s draw produced two winners of the EuroMillions Plus top prize of €500,000.
The winning tickets, which are now worth €500,000 each, were sold in Newbridge, Co Kildare and Ashbourne, Co Meath.
The winning tickets which were both Quick Pick selection tickets were sold at the Kilmoon Service Station in Ashbourne, Co. Meath and Dunnes Stores in Newbridge, Co. Kildare.
The winning EuroMillions Plus numbers are: 17, 31, 37, 40, 46
"Despite the bad weather, this great news is certainly putting a smile on our customers faces this morning," said Irma Fimkute, manager of the Kilmoon Service Station.
"As news spreads throughout the town, we have been inundated with our customers who are checking their tickets in the hope that they are one of the lucky winners. We would urge all of our customers to check their tickets carefully and we wish them all the very best with their huge win.
"To celebrate this win with our customers, the store owners here will kindly share the stores selling bonus among all of the staff members so we all have a little extra to celebrate today," she added.
With no jackpot winner of Tuesday’s €163 million jackpot, Friday’s EuroMillions jackpot is now estimated at €180 million.
Last night’s EuroMillions draw produced the 22nd and 23rd winners of the €500,000 Plus top prize.
Irish players are on course to break the record set in 2009 when 27 lucky players won the EuroMillions Plus top prize.
