The two aged in their 20s are expected to appear before a sitting of Limerick District Court this morning, charged following a Garda investigation into the incident on Parnell St on Sunday, March 16.

"On Sunday 16th March 2014 at approximately 6.40pm a male aged in his 30s sustained stab wounds to his face during a violent disturbance involving a number of males," gardaí said.

The injured male was taken to University Collage Hospital Galway where he was treated for his injuries.
