Two people are due to appear in court today charged with the murder of a man whose body was discovered dumped in a wheelie bin.

Two people are due to appear in court today charged with the murder of a man whose body was discovered dumped in a wheelie bin.

Owen Creaney, 40, was found dead in the bin at the back of a house in Craigavon, Co Armagh, on Saturday.

A 23-year-old woman and a man, aged 27, arrested at the property in the wake of the discovery will appear at Craigavon court, the PSNI said.

Detectives said on Sunday that it appeared Mr Creaney, who turned 40 last month and required a walking frame or stick to move around, was subjected to a “serious and sustained” assault.

The victim lived at Victoria Place in Lurgan. He was found at the rear of a property at Moyraverty Court in nearby Craigavon.
