A man in his 50s was killed in a crash in Co Cork yesterday morning when the car he was driving struck a tree on the N72 at 10am.

A 40-year-old woman died following a hit and run incident in Dublin last night.

She had been crossing the road at the Golden Bridge LUAS stop in Drimnagh at around 10pm - investigating officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
