Two people have been arrested in west Dublin in connection with the shooting of a garda in the north inner city almost three months ago.

Two people have been arrested in west Dublin in connection with the shooting of a garda in the north inner city almost three months ago.

The male motorcycle garda was shot and injured when he stopped a car on Ossary Road in the North Strand area on September 25.

He suffered stomach injuries in the incident.

A man and a woman, both in their twenties, were arrested in Clondalkin last night in connection with the gun attack.

They are being questioned by gardaí in Mountjoy and Store St.
