Two men have been arrested over an aggravated burglary in Dublin last December.

Four men, one of whom was armed with a nail bar, entered a house at Casana View in Howth on the morning of December 13 last.

A woman in her 40s and her 8-year-old daughter were inside at the time.

The men threatened the mother and demanded money before escaping with a sum of cash and a car, which was later abandoned in Howth village.

Two suspects, aged 32 and 42, were detained in Dublin this morning and are being questioned at Clontarf Garda station.
