A man is due to go on trial today accused of murdering a Romanian teenager in Dublin in 2008.

The body of 18-year-old Mariora Rostas was found in a shallow grave in the Wicklow Mountains in January 2012, four years after she had been reported missing.

Mariora Rostas was last seen alive by her younger brother on January 6, 2008.

They had been begging together that day and he saw her getting into a car at Lombard Street East.

She was reported missing and in January 2012, her remains were found wrapped in plastic and buried in a shallow grave in the Wicklow Mountains.

A post mortem revealed she had been shot in the head.

Alan Wilson of New Street Gardens, Dublin 8 is accused of killing the 18-year-old at a house on Brabazon Street four years before.

He is due to stand trial before the Central Criminal Court today.
