Today is the last day to guarantee cards and parcels will get delivered by Christmas
An Post is reminding people that it is the last day to send cards and parcels to guarantee they will get delivered by Christmas.
Final delivery is this Saturday.
An extra 300 staff were hired to help with the increase in demand this year.

"There's still a bit of leeway with it but if you want to be absolutely sure, get them in today," said Anna McHugh from An Post.
"We're working 24 hours a day, volumes are very high but we'd say to people check those addresses, seal those envelopes and if you're sending parcels use lots of strong paper, lots of tape and always include a return address," she added.
