The son of Canadian astronaut and hit tweeter Chris Hadfield has described his father as "just a regular guy", despite his new-found fame.
Commander Hadfield is orbiting the earth in the International Space Station and is delighting Earthlings with his tweets about life in space.

Good Morning, World! Mechanic day - replacing the big yellow drive belt in the Biolab Experiment rack. Feels good to get my hands dirty.

He has also become the first person to tweet in Irish from space, when he posted an image of Dublin, with the message "Tá Éire fíorálainn".

However, his son Evan says the Commander is simply his dad.
"Knowing a lot of people look up to him is great, but to me he's just my father," he said. "He's the guy who makes puns at the dinner table and wanders around the house in his underpants.
"He's not that amazing, special guy in that regard - he's just my dad."
