A teenage boy remains in a serious condition in the intensive care unit of Temple St Children's Hospital after he and two girls got into difficulty while swimming in Dublin yesterday evening.

A teenage boy remains in a serious condition in the intensive care unit of Temple St Children's Hospital after he and two girls got into difficulty while swimming in Dublin yesterday evening.

The three youths, all believed to be aged around 13, were swimming in a lake near the Waterville Hall residential complex in Blanchardstown at around 6.15pm when the alarm was raised.

They were rushed to Temple Street Children's Hospital where the boy is said to be in a serious condition with the two girls stable.
