Three young women were taken to hospital following a road traffic collision in Cork on New Year's Day.

Three young women were taken to hospital following a road traffic collision in Cork on New Year's Day.

The incident occurred at around 1:10am at Bakers Road, Gurranabraher.

The women, all aged in their late teens and 20s were taken to Cork University Hospital.

Gardaí have said their injuries are minor.

An investigation is ongoing.
