Three to appear in court in connection with armed robbery in Waterford
Three men will appear before a special sitting of Waterford District Court tonight, charged in connection with an armed robbery in Cheekpoint.
Shortly before noon on Thursday, two men entered a shop in the village - one armed with a handgun and the other with a knife.
The shop assistant was threatened, and handed over a sum of cash.
Three men aged 18, 28 and 36 were arrested in the Waterford area yesterday afternoon and are due in court at 9pm tonight.
