Three men have died in separate road crashes in the last 24 hours.

A 51-year-old pedestrian died after he was struck by a car at Kylebrack East, Loughrea in Co Galway last night.

The injured man was taken to Portiuncla Hospital in Ballinasloe where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

Also in Co Galway, a 61-year-old cyclist died when he was in a collison with a car on the main Roscommon to Galway road at 5.45pm yesterday.

In Waterford, a man in his 70s died when the car he was driving collided with another car at around 5pm yesterday at Moonvoy, Tramore.
