Three people were injured today after a disturbance outside a taxi office in the North.

Three people were injured today after a disturbance outside a taxi office in the North.

Up to 30 people smashed the windows of the premises on Scotch Street, Dungannon, Co Tyrone, with stones and bottles.

A passing car was caught up in the trouble, which flared around 2.30am, and both the driver and his passenger were hit with stones after two windows were smashed.

Police said the driver, who is in his 20s, was hit in the mouth and his passenger, who is in his 30s, was struck on the arm.

A male pedestrian sustained a facial injury during the incident.

Three parked cars were damaged by missiles.

A PSNI spokesman said two men, aged 20 and 21, were arrested in connection with the disturbance and were helping police with inquiries.
