Thousands of jobs on offer at free recruitment fair

More than 3,500 jobs are up for grabs at a major recruitment fair in Dublin today.

Irish and international companies, including Twitter, eBay, Amazon, Boston Scientific and Paypal will be at Career Zoo to meet the 9,000 attendees expected at the Convention Centre.

There is also information on upskilling; with DIT, Trinity School of Business and DCU on hand to give advice.

Abbott, Accenture, AOL, Aon, Ericsson, Fidelity, Hays, IT Alliance, Johnson & Johnson, Openet, Sentenial, SIG, State Street, Unum and Workday will also be attending.

Other activities include a ‘Tech Box’ where attendees can learn more about Ireland’s fastest growing sector, IT, career workshops and a career clinic where job seekers can go for advice and help.

"Career Zoo is for professionals and graduates who are looking for career opportunities in Ireland," said Jackie Slattery, director of Career Zoo.

"So if anyone out there wants to talk directly to employers that are hiring now, if they even want to come down and get some information on CV tips and interview strategy, we've got loads of free workshops going on throughout the day."
