A young man has been arrested in connection with a stabbing in Dublin over the weekend in which a 25-year-old man was seriously injured.

A young man has been arrested in connection with a stabbing in Dublin over the weekend in which a 25-year-old man was seriously injured.

It happened at Templeview Avenue in Clarehall at around 1am on Sunday morning.

Two others suffered minor injuries in what Gardaí described as a public order incident.

The victim was taken to Beaumont Hospital where his condition is described as serious.

An 18-year-old has been arrested and is being held at Coolock Garda Station.

It comes as Gardaí investigate four other stabbings which took place in Dublin on Halloween night.

Five separate investigations have been launched following several knife attacks in Dublin on the night of Saturday and into Sunday morning.

A man is due in court in Swords this morning in connection with a stabbing at a hospital in Dublin.

A 19-year-old was stabbed when he was attending Beaumont Hospital in the early hours of yesterday morning.

Gardaí in Kevin St are appealing for witnesses after a 21-year-old man died following a stabbing at Oliver Bond Street flats beside Usher's Quay.

In Blanchardstown, a man is fighting for his life after being stabbed a bonfire in Drumheath at around 7.30pm on Saturday night.

Elsewhere. on Priorswood Road in Dublin 17 a man received non-life-threatening injuries as a result of being stabbed during a row at about 4am yesterday morning.

Gardai are investigating all five incidents and are appealing for witnesses to contact them.
