A teenager has been arrested in Dublin following the seizure of a quantity of drugs and a firearm.

A teenager has been arrested in Dublin following the seizure of a quantity of drugs and a firearm.

At around 6.30pm this evening gardaí in Tallaght searched a car in the Jobstown area and discovered a sawn-off shot-gun and ammunition along with heroin and cannabis with a combined street value of €200,000.

The youth aged in his mid-teens was detained at the scene and is being held at Tallaght Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.
