Teen due in court over Offaly assault
A teenager is due in court in Co Offaly this morning charged in connection with a serious assault.
A man in his 50s remains in a serious condition in hospital after he sustained head injuries when he was attacked on Main St. in Birr on Monday.
He was airlifted to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin, where he is still being treated.
The 17-year-old male is expected to appear before Tullamore District Court in relation to the incident.
