A 19-year-old has been charged after a stabbing in Dublin city centre last night which has left another teenager in a serious condition in hospital.

A 19-year-old has been charged after a stabbing in Dublin city centre last night which has left another teenager in a serious condition in hospital.

Two other teenagers arrested after the attack have been released without charge.

Gardaí in Dublin are investigating two separate stabbings in the city last night, and have asked to speak to anyone who may have witnessed either of them.

A 19-year-old was attacked with a knife in a shop on College Green at around 11.30pm.

He was taken to St James Hospital where he is in a stable condition.

Three teenagers were arrested after the incident - a male and a female were later released without charge, but a 19-year-old has been charged with assault.

He is due before Dublin District Court on the 28th of this month.
