A teenage boy has been arrested in Co Limerick in connection with the stabbing of a man in the city.

A teenage boy has been arrested in Co Limerick in connection with the stabbing of a man in the city.

At around 7.30pm yesterday evening a man in 40s was stabbed twice on Thomas Street.

He was taken to University Hospital Limerick but has since been released.

The teenager was arrested at the scene.

He was taken to Henry Street Garda Station for questioning.
