Taoiseach supports cut in NI's corporation tax rate

The Taoiseach Enda Kenny has said he would support a cut in corporation tax in the North.

The Taoiseach Enda Kenny has said he would support a cut in corporation tax in the North.

At the first North/South Ministerial Council since the General Election, Mr Kenny also said he sees an enhanced role for cross-border bodies to make savings.

The North is trying to slash its current rate of corporate tax of 26%, which compares to our rate of 12.5%.

The Taoiseach said Dublin would be very supportive of a reduction, equivalent to our own, in the North.
