Taoiseach refuses to confirm Magdalene apology

The Taoiseach Enda Kenny has refused to say if he will apologise to the survivors of the Magdalene Laundries today.

Mr Kenny is expected to offer a full apology to the women during a Dáil debate on the report into the launderies.

The Taoiseach and Tánaiste Eamon Gilmore have met with a number of the survivors since the report was published two weeks ago.

Speaking on his way into Government Buildings this morning, Enda Kenny refused to be drawn on the issue.
