The Taoiseach Enda Kenny has said the Public Accounts Committee was given a "litany of facts that were not the truth" in relation to the Central Remedial Clinic.
Mr Kenny made the comments in the Dáil this evening on the implementation of the Programme for Government.
He said the public had the right to know how their money was spent, adding that it was nauseating to some what had happened at the CRC.
The Taoiseach said: "Now we've a situation where we have, in the case of the CRC, the Public Accounts Committee, the watchdog for the public, has had to involve itself for hours on end and was given a litany of facts that were not the truth before Christmas in respect of certain matters."
