Swimming banned at Meath beach

Bettystown Strand in Meath has become the latest Irish beach to be hit with a swimming ban.

Bathing's prohibited at six beaches on the east coast - mostly in the greater Dublin area - due to heavy rain and flooding in recent weeks.

Meath County Council has told the Environmental Protection Agency it's investigating whether agricultural run off is to blame.
