Swedish supermarket withdraws Irish beef after salmonella find

A Swedish supermarket chain has confirmed it has withdrawn a consignment of Irish beef from its shelves following salmonella contamination.

The salmonella was detected after the supermaket carried out its own tests on the meat.

It is understood the withdrawal affects just a small consignment and will not affect overall imports of Irish beef.
