Part of Dublin's Phoenix Park has been sealed off following the discovery of a suspicious device.
The alert centres on the Quarry Lake area and the alarm was raised last night.
Gardaí say the alarm was raised at around 11pm last night after the device was found in the Quarry Lake area on Ordinance Survey Road in the Phoenix Park.
The army bomb disposal team has been at the scene since around 5.30am this morning and part of the park has been sealed off.
The restrictions will mean some diversions for motorists for a time this morning.
At the moment, Chesterfield Avenue is closed from Castleknock Gate to the Phoenix monument.
Traffic there is being diverted onto the North Road.
There is no entry to the park allowed at the Castleknock, Knockmaroon or Whites Gates.
Gardaí also say traffic entering the park at the Chapelizod Gate will not be allowed turn left towards Knockmaroon.
