Gardaí arrested two men on suspicion of drugs offences, after stopping a car in the East Clare area earlier today.

A follow up search of a premises on Main Street, Tulla led to the discovery of what Gardaí describe as a suspect device and an area in the town has now been sealed off, pending the arrival of the army bomb disposal team.

The two men who have been arrested, aged 17 and 22, are being questioned under the Misuse of Drugs Act and are being held at Killaloe Garda Station
