A 33-year-old man will appear in court in the North today charged with the murder of prison officer David Black.

A 33-year-old man will appear in court in the North today charged with the murder of prison officer David Black.

The 52-year-old was shot dead on his way to work in Maghaberry Prison in Armagh 2012.

He was the first prison officer to be killed in the North in 20 years.

His murder was blamed on dissident republicans.
